Applications

  • As a primer for various metal surfaces, such as aluminium, steel, stainless steel, zinc, copper, lead, chrome and brass.
  • As a primer for various surfaces with a powder coating.
  • As a primer for various surfaces with a lacquer and/or paint system. Check that the surface will not be damaged before use.
  • As a primer for polyester surfaces, such as GRP, ABS and PVC.

Properties

  • Improves the adhesive properties of sealants and adhesives on non-porous surfaces.
  • Fast-drying. Maximum drying time of approx. 5 – 10 minutes.
  • User-friendly and easy to apply.
  • Cleaner and Primer in one, requiring just a single application.
  • Time-saving and economical.
  • Efficient to use.
  • Not paintable.

Application conditions

  • Application temperature (ambient and surface) between +5°C and +40°C.
  • The surface must be dry, clean and free of grease and dust.
  • Open the can before use using the rotary knob and plastic seal on the top of the can.
  • Do not use Seal-it® 525 CLEAN & BOND immediately out of the original packaging.
  • Pour out an amount of Seal-it® 525 CLEAN & BOND into another glass/can that you can use in 30 minutes, for example. Then seal the can of Seal-it® 525 CLEAN & BOND properly.
  • Apply Seal-it® 525 CLEAN & BOND with a clean, dry, lint-free and non-running cloth and/or tissue in a thin layer or multiple layers in order to clean the surface at the same time. Immediately replace cloth or paper if dirty.
  • Wait until dry before applying the sealant and/or adhesive. (approx. 5 – 10 min.)
  • After Seal-it® 525 CLEAN & BOND has been applied to the surface, we recommend applying the sealant or adhesive within six hours for the best result.
  • Avoid touching treated surfaces as this can impair the adhesion.
