Seal-it® 380 FOIL-BOND is a high-quality, strong assembly adhesive based on MS-Polymer®. Specifically intended for bonding plastic films and vapour control layers.
Applications
- Specially developed for bonding plastic films (PE, PVC, EPDM, DPC) to stone, concrete, plaster, metal and wood.
- For bonding and the watertight and airtight finish of synthetic films.
- Suitable for bonding the most common underlay membranes and vapour barriers.
- Bonding of PP foils around wood and carpentry, aluminium foils and almost all other building and insulation materials.

- Low-odour, shrink-free and blister-free curing.
- Durable, permanently plasto-elastic.
- Sublime adhesion without primer on almost all, even damp surfaces..

- Plasticizer, phthalate, isocyanate, solvent and silicone free.

- Permanently resistant to UV, weather, water, moisture and ageing.
Application conditions
- Processing temperature (ambient and substrate) between min. +5°C and max. +40°C.
- Material vertical (ventilating) and in sufficient thickness of approx. 7mm. Apply in grooves at a distance of min. 10cm and max. 20cm. Do not apply in dots!
- On clean, clean, compatible, load-bearing, grease- and dust-free surfaces.
- Completely remove loose components from surfaces using a suitable brush.
- Completely degrease greasy surfaces using SEAL-IT® 510 CLEANER.
- SEAL-IT® 380 FOIL-BOND has a broad adhesion spectrum, but highly porous surfaces can be pre-treated with SEAL-IT® 520 PRIMER. Pre-treat non-porous surfaces with minimal adhesion using SEAL-IT® 525 CLEAN & BOND.
- Apply primer easily, quickly, cleanly, evenly and not excessively using SEAL-IT® • 590 PRIMER BOTTLE + QUALS, under the correct temperature and substrate conditions (see TDS)..
- As soon as the primer is dry, apply SEAL-IT® 380 FOIL-BOND as soon as possible.
